FAQ's

DINNER SHOWS

What is a comedy dinner show?

It's a fun evening of comedy and cabaret all centred around a 3 course meal. However, our shows are flexible and can be tailored around almost any event.

What happens?

Our shows are packed full of joyful music, songs, dancing and laugh-out-loud comedy routines. There’s lots of improvisation too so the show is unique every night.

I've never been to an interactive show, what can I expect?

We love that our audiences are part of our show; that's what makes it unique! But we also appreciate that the idea of audience interaction can make some people nervous.
Our experienced performers take great care to put everyone at ease. We want you to sit back, enjoy the show and your food, interacting to a level that you feel comfortable with.

I'm not familiar with the original show that you parody, does it matter?

Absolutely not! Our scripts are original and contain improvisation, so a lot of it will be new to even die-hard fans.

Do parody shows infringe on copyright?

No! UK law protects parody:
‘There is an exception to copyright that permits people to use limited amounts of copyright material without the owner’s permission for the purpose of parody, caricature or pastiche.’

We may make ‘in jokes’ or references in our tributes to classic comedies, but only with ‘limited fair usage’. We use our own scripts, plots, gags and interactive fun.

Parody, tributes and impersonation play a huge part in comedy culture, from TV impressionists John Culshaw and Mike Yarwood, to films like Spaceballs, Scary Movie and Naked Gun, and TV Shows such as Brass Eye, Come Fly With Me and The Windsors. Even Shakespeare used classical literature to create his own plays.

Many of our shows are parodies of parodies. Austin Powers parodies James Bond, and Alan Partridge is a pastiche of various presenters who continues to parody well known TV shows.

Can you tell me more about your 'A Night at the Musicals' show?

Our Night at The Musical show contains West End worthy performances of hits from the biggest musicals on the planet – Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserable, Miss Saigon, Blood Brothers, Wicked and The Lion King to name just a few.

The songs are performed ‘in concert’ style by our glamorous performers, adding that little bit of class to your event.

We use the highest quality ‘live orchestra’ backing tracks to make our show more accessible; however, musicians can be added at a cost if requested.

Are your shows family friendly?

Yes. Our shows do not contain offensive language, but we recommend parental guidance with our Austin Powers show as it contains mild sexual references.

All children must be supervised at all times and will not be allowed to run around or disturb the performances, as this may ruin the show for others and cause safety issues.

How long are the shows?

Normally 2 hours 30 minutes.

When should we arrive?

Please arrive 30 minutes before the show is due to start. This allows you time to check in, enjoy a pre-dinner drink and potentially pre-order drinks for your table.

What is the itinerary?

Timings can differ depending on the venue, so it’s always wise to check with them; however, the most common schedule is:

7pm - Audience arrive for Pre-Dinner Drinks at the bar.
7.30pm – The show begins. Characters greet the audience and lead them to the dining room.
8pm – Starters
8.50pm – Main Course
9.30pm – Deserts
10pm – Show Ends

Our actors perform throughout but will often give you breathing time to enjoy your food.

Is there an interval?

Actors break during the main course, but you can come and go as you please for comfort breaks etc.

What if I am late?

Our team and the venue will do their best to accommodate late-comers, however, the show and the food service must run as scheduled; and if you are a large party, you may have to wait until a suitable moment in the performance to be seated. This is for safety reasons and to avoid spoiling the show for others.

Please note, no refund or partial refund can be offered for latecomers, so we advise you arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Will I be seated with my party?

Yes. Unless you are a very large group then you may have to be split between tables.

Can I film the show?

No, sorry. No videos are allowed to be taken during the performances.

Can I take photos?

Yes, of course! And if you enjoyed the show feel free to share them on your social media and tag us.

Are you able to do something for a special occasion?

Happy to! Let us know if you or someone in your party is celebrating a special occasion, then email us the details and we’ll do our best to help.

What's on the menu?

Usually a 3 course meal. Please check with your intended venue what the food options are, and please contact them directly with any dietary requirements or allergies.

Can I order drinks during the show?

Yes, but not from the performers. Table service will be provided by the venue.

COMEDY TRIBUTE ACT HIRE

What can I expect?

Our comedy tribute acts normally work on a 2 hour minimum, where they will mix with your guests and perform any pre-agreed activities that you require.

What's the difference between a tribute and a lookalike?

Lookalikes are usually just that, they look like the person. Our comedy tributes are experienced professionally trained actors, entertainers and impersonators who know how to put on a show.

Can I hire more than one character?

You can hire any combination of our professional tributes. Double acts are available too, such as Del Boy and Rodney, Frank Spencer and Betty, Father Ted and Dougal, Renee and Edith and many more. If you have a request or need some guidance, we'll be happy to help. Check out our list here.

CABARET SHOWS

What kind of acts are available?

We have a network of diverse performers - stand up comedians, burlesque artists, drag queens, magicians, tribute acts, children's entertainers, street performers, singers, bands etc. We work with the theme of the event and make suggestions around your budget.

Can I get a list of available acts?

Unfortunately not, as our list is almost endless. We work with many different agents and talent across the country to curate the perfect show for you.

I think I only require one performer, would that be okay?

Of course. Whether you'd like one or several, we can accommodate.
